In the boundless desert, a ray of light breaks the silence, symbolizing the possibilities of the future. The story of the Zhongwei Desert Diamond Hotel begins in this desert and extends to a stunning chapter on the international stage
Simon Chong Design Consultants (SCD) has achieved another international success with its masterpiece, the Zhongwei Desert Diamond Hotel, located in the Tengger Desert of China. It has been included in the 29th edition of the Andrew Martin International Interior Design Yearbook, ranking alongside the world's top 100 design works, showcasing the depth and vision of the company's design capabilities on the international stage.
The project centers on the concept of "site spirit," blending futuristic architectural language with a natural context, breaking away from the traditional imagination of travel spaces. Through the interplay of light and shadow, materials, and spatial tension, the design team has created a spiritual haven that coexists with nature and inspires introspection.
Our founder, Simon Chong, states, "We hope this is more than just a hotel; it's an exploration of future lifestyles. This international recognition is an affirmation of our design philosophy and encourages us to continue to be people-oriented and rooted in our communities, creating culturally profound spatial experiences."
This honour not only affirms SCD's design capabilities but also symbolizes our commitment to realizing our vision for future spaces. Moving forward, SCD will continue to write a new chapter for Chinese design on the global stage with its innovative vision and humanistic care.
