For our latest showcase at the Haikou HNA Mansion, our principal, Simon Chong embarked on a journey to prove that a residence is an extension of culture, a soulful space that resonates with its inhabitants. Blending the timeless charm of the East with a modern design language, Simon has created three distinct styles of ideal residences, each with a shared soul of contemporary elegance

At HNA Mansion, Simon interprets the multifaceted nature of space through three unique apartment types, each a chapter in a conversation between tradition and modernity.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝟮𝟴𝟬㎡ 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆: 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆

The 280-square-meter apartment is a masterclass in quiet contemplation. Utilizing pure white as its foundational tone, the design employs simple, clean lines to craft a deeply tranquil and culturally rich living environment. Key elements, such as a graceful Chinese-style armchair and an expressive abstract ink painting, weave together tradition and modernity, creating a retreat where serenity reigns supreme.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝟰𝟭𝟱㎡ 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝘃𝗮𝘀: 𝗨𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗟𝘂𝘅𝘂𝗿𝘆

The first of the two 415-square-meter units is defined by its sophisticated palette of gray and light wood veneer. This design achieves a refined balance with light, airy spatial proportions. Subtle Eastern elements are carefully incorporated into the soft furnishings, offering a sense of spiritual warmth within a framework of modern simplicity. The bedroom exemplifies this with geometric textures and transparent materials intertwining to present a layered, understated luxury.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝟰𝟭𝟱㎡ 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲: 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗗𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗮

The second 415-square-meter unit makes a bolder, more dramatic statement. It employs rich dark gray and gold tones as its foundation, combining the romantic elegance of French design with the sharp lines of modern abstract oil paintings. Metal and glass lighting fixtures illuminate the space, creating a vibrant, artistic atmosphere and fostering a dramatic dialogue between the home’s hard and soft furnishings.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗲𝗮𝘂𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲

As Simon Chong eloquently states, "The beauty of space lies not in the accumulation of styles, but in the flow of culture and the resonance with people." These three distinct styles are not just design choices; they are profound interpretations of life itself, capturing the soul of contemporary elegant luxury living in a dynamic interplay between stillness and movement, East and West.
