Museum Magic: The Grand Space is an Integration of the Ancient Capital's Heritage and International Culture

Step inside and find out more

When Simon Chong Design Consultants was entrusted to handle this museum project in Nanjing, our principal Simon Chong and his team took the integration of the ancient capital's heritage and international culture as the starting point. The goal was to inject the space with an elegant and luxurious style, and Simon worked with many artistic masters across time and space.

The front hall is equipped with a metal screen and a luxurious "Bvlgari Black" stone reception desk, which advocates both elegance and restraint, while green moss vegetation and installation art injects colours and layers to the space. The round stone parquet and floral installations suddenly become the focus of attention. Meanwhile, the stairs are made of luxurious stone and frameless glass handrails. Both materials exude a richness for their  textures and ethereal qualities. Curved design elements, leather cushions and metal details convey a romantic and elegant artistic atmosphere, breaking the boundaries between the indoors and out, while allowing the space and visitors to achieve emotional resonance.
