Project Showcase: Shenzhen Zhonghai Huanyu Longchen Sales Office

Allowing one to experience the beautiful scenes of living in the present and future

September 19, 1858:

Very enjoyable. It has been decided that we should love and work! That's all.

September 20, 1858:

I am very tired and don’t want to love or work.

When interpreting the regional positioning of this project, the designers - Simon Chong Design Consultants - came across these diary entries of Tolstoy. It turns out that great writers, like people running around in the city, will inevitably encounter moments of burnout. This led to the inspiration for the design of the world's 33rd Universal Tower built by real estate giant, China Shipping in east Shenzhen.

Zhonghai Huanyu Longchen is different in that it uses the cutting-edge living standards of modern times to create an all-round comprehensive city, allowing one to experience the beautiful scenes of living in the present and future. Every encounter is an exquisite one, without the need to travel far. Tao Qian has a poem that cites: "People have words, and the sun and the moon are in battle. I can sit down and talk about my life". In everyday life, time flies by, and being able to sit together and chat often becomes a luxury. Between home and the city, "shared space" serves as an important transitional territory, a key place to display and reshape urban living styles.

China Overseas Longchen Garden embodies the theme of reading, and a social space with a coffee experience as the carrier. This integrates a systematic, diversified and upgraded "shared cultural experience space" that integrates books, coffee, flower arranging and a cultural lifestyle.

The design team did not want to present a stereotypical display area. Instead, they maintain the logic of a spatial narrative and the identity of the space with the same colour tone. This progressive hierarchical relationship and pure colours increase the sense of depth of the space, allowing a sense of a free and open negotiation space to be conveyed to all visitors. In this regard they are able to explore the meaning of what modern living really means. The two "homes" of environment and residence are interrelated. When people enter the residence, the external environment also follows. Indeed, this space demonstrates that the future is worth looking forward to.
