Where art lives
When Simon Chong was planning the design of a luxury home for a young couple born in the 90’s, he manipulated a modern art lifestyle and created a low key, minimalist and healing living space for them. Indeed, this forward thinking, well educated new generation knows how to enjoy life without being overly extravagant.
This mansion is cleverly decorated with various sculptures, showing the detached and elegant attitude of a free soul. One of the highlights is "Trojan Fiddler" by artist Zou Chao, which depicts a childlike image with a round face and plump body. Zou Chao, a freelance artist born in Jiangxi in 1987, graduated from the Sculpture Department of Jiangxi Normal University. For him, artistic creation is a process of returning to one's heart and conveying true inner feelings as accurately as possible. Facing future works, Zou Chao still retains his original intention. He has said: "In the next creation, I will still listen to my inner feelings and will not force the unity of the appearance of the works, because the feelings will change and the works will naturally change. A true artist is his true self.”
