Situated in the coastal landscape of Haikou, Hainan, the 201-square-meter Haoting project is a masterclass in atmospheric design. Centered on the Zen spirit of Southeast Asian culture, the project serves as a spiritual retreat from the urban bustle, echoing the ethereal connection between humanity and nature found in Colbert's work.
The spatial language here is both minimalist and meaningful. Natural wood textures, the tactile simplicity of linen, and carefully curated Asian artifacts converge to evoke a refined Thai charm. Eschewing complexity for the raw beauty of the original, the design invites a deeper connection to life. As Simon observes: "Design is not about escaping reality, but about making life more textured and spiritually fulfilling. We hope this work encourages people to pause, rethink their pace, and discover the inner strength within."
Across the public areas, guest suites, and conference facilities, the narrative of "Nianhua Bay" remains constant - utilizing motifs of flower-picking and tranquil bays to foster a meditative environment. Every detail is a quiet reminder of life's essentials: simplicity, purity, and sincerity.
