Using a pure and simple design language to pursue the three-dimensional sense and richness of visual art
For a thoughtful designer, the emotional connection they build in commercial spaces is never less than what they do for private residences. When handling the Rongfu Sales Office in Chengdu’s Financial Street, Simon Chong Design Consultants’ team was determined to increase the affinity of the environment. They advocated the concept of combining soft furnishings and accessories with fine hardware, exploring the perfect integration of contemporary design with humanities.
In this project, the design team used a pure and simple design language to pursue the three-dimensional sense and richness of visual art. They integrated the interest of nature into it, giving the space vitality and artistic sensibility, while expressing modern attitudes and an understanding of lifestyle. In order to establish a rhythm throughout the space, Simon used screens decorated with bamboo leaf patterns to reflect inner cognition and cultivation, creating a hazy poetic vibe. Light golden circular decorations, sculptures and endless light not only correspond to the freehand brushwork of traditional aesthetics, but also showcase people's inner yearning, courage and spirit.
Carefully laid out artwork, colours and lines become the medium for emotional expression, creating the charm of the space and enhancing visitor’s emotional communication with nature. The application of modern materials such as metal, marble, and leather is integrated with urban affinity.
