This is an exploration of "stillness." For the Poly Binhu Tangyue project, our principal Simon Chong utilized a sophisticated grey as the main palette, expertly weaving together nature, art, and humanity. The result is a stable and free spiritual space - a true sanctuary for the mind

In the design of Dongguan Poly Binhu Tangyue, Simon Chong and his team chose "sophisticated grey" as the core design language, showcasing a spirituality that transcends mere colour. Grey, in this context, is neither cold nor empty, but a neutral, all-encompassing force. It extends a tranquil atmosphere throughout the space, inviting people to let go of the hustle and bustle of daily life and return to inner peace.

The VIP room's design is particularly noteworthy. A minimalist black entrance establishes an immediate Zen-like ambiance, while a vibrant splash of Chinese red provides a welcome warmth against the tranquility. Textural elements - such as the use of cotton, linen, and leather of the sofa, the steadfastness of the brass coffee table, the delicate touch of the old-fashioned iron kettle, and a subtle sprig of spring cherry blossoms - form a timeless beauty that is both ancient and contemporary. Every detail here is a deliberate interpretation of "stillness" and a pursuit of enduring "beauty".

Perhaps most moving is the long, striking bamboo stalk that spans the space. The ethereal quality of the bamboo blends seamlessly with the freehand style of ink painting, conveying the emptiness and stillness central to Chinese aesthetics. By bringing natural forms indoors, the design allows one to experience the philosophical thought that "observing all things in stillness brings contentment." This approach goes beyond formal beauty; it creates a spiritual refuge, rooted in the belief that art cannot exist without nature, and nature is the ultimate source of art.
The ultimate aim of the Poly Binhu Tangyue design is not visual splendor, but to allow people to experience the joy of life and the freedom of mind within the space. Here, beauty is redefined not as superficial decoration, but as a form of creativity, spiritual tranquility, and independence.
